🎯 Objective
The Competitor Promotions module enables you to track and analyze active competitor promotions, including promotion type, availability, and pricing. With real-time insights into competitor promotions at the SKU level, you can better understand market trends and make data-driven decisions to optimize your own pricing and promotional strategies, helping you stay ahead of the competition.
📘 Instructions
Step 1: Enable the Module
Ensure the Competitor Promotions module is enabled in the Access Rights.
Next, provide access to admins and field reps’ accounts to the module from Access Rights > Groups.
Portal Level: Enable for admins.
Mobile App Level: Enable for field reps.
Step 2: Configure & Setup the Module
Go to the Merchandiser menu, click on the Competitor Promotions tab in the left-hand menu to reveal the sub-menu, and click Setup.
Setup the Promotion Type:
Click on the + button.
Fill in the required details.
Examples are New Product Release, Price Discount, Buy One Get One Free, etc.
Setup the Country of Origin:
Switch to the Country of Origin page.
Click on the + button.
Fill in the required details.
Setup the Activity:
Switch to the Activity page.
Click on the + button.
Fill in the required details.
Examples are Promoter, Flyers, Product Sampling, etc.
Setup the Supplier:
Switch to the Supplier page.
Click on the + button.
Fill in the required details.
The Extra Info Required checkbox is used to add a textbox in the app where the field rep should write a description of the item.
Step 3: Configure the Settings (Optional)
Click on the Settings page under the Competitor Promotions tab.
Enable the module settings based on your preference according to the below:
Show Competitor Brand: When enabled, If the competitor brands are defined, they will appear in a drop-down menu for the field rep.
Remaining Settings: When enabled, it will force the field rep to fill in the corresponding field.
e.g. Barcode required, Production Date required, Expiry Date required, etc.
If Country of Origin, Supplier or Activity are set as mandatory, they will only appear on the mobile app if they are defined on the portal.
Step 4: Configure the Mobile App
Upon accessing the Competitor Promotions module, field reps can log a new competitor promotion based on the options configured during the setup process.
Fields outlined in red are mandatory and must be filled in before proceeding with saving and submitting the entry.
Field Descriptions
Field Name | Description |

Country of Origin | Define the country of origin for the same SKU in the case of parallel imports. |
Activity | Define the execution elements that support the promotion. |
Supplier | Define who supplies the items in the case of parallel imports. |
